How to valued the Expended Polystyrene recycling with EPS foam shredder
Expended Polystyrene (EPS foam) is easily recycled, due to its light weight (especially if foamed). also, it is not economical to collect in its original form because the large volume of EPS foam. However, if the waste EPS foam material goes through an initial shredding process–shred with EPS foam shredder, the material changes diameter to5-10mm, which not only make EPS recycle easy but also greatly reduce the transport cost, and becomes a recyclable commodity of high value for producers of recycled plastic peanuts/ ps pellets. There are many usages of this EPS material after shredding, for example, EPS after shred can be extruded into plastic pellets or used as the building materials in the filling agent.
Now the EPS foam shredders are widely used. In Germany, expended polystyrene is collected, as a consequence of the compact logs (Verpackungsverordnung) after using EPS ingot shredder shredding then go to the extrusion pelletizing line to make more polystyrene products. In the US and many other countries, the interest in recycling expended polystyrene has led to the establishment of collection points. The producers of large quantities of expended polystyrene waste (50 tons per year or more) that have invested in the EPS shredders are able to sell the EPS material to plastic recyclers.
